Professional Learning Communities (PLC)

PLCs extend the opportunity to foster collaborative learning among parent education staff. Participating in facilitated discussions on a variety of topics promotes collective team work with a focus on reflective learning and development of best practices.

Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) Training for Home Visitors – There are still ASQ:3 and ASQ:SE2 training opportunities available. This training will be held virtually and at no cost to participants. Free ASQ:3 and ASQ:SE2 kits are available for eligible programs. To register, click here. The Association of State and Tribal Home Visiting Initiatives (ASTHVI) has initiated a weekly highlight of modules from the Institute for the Advancement of Family Support Professionals (The Institute) to help support home visitors with their professional growth. DESE Home Visiting will be highlighting one of these modules each month from their selections. This month’s module is Growing Healthy Children - Module 1. To access this module, click here.

The Family Conservancy: 

Registration is now open for the first-ever Midwest Summit for Early Childhood Coaches & Trainers (MSECCT). This event, hosted by The Family Conservancy and Johnson County Community College, is limited to 100 participants and is designed for early childhood trainers, coaches, parents as teachers educators, and support professionals.
