Family Personal Visit
Family personal visits help increase parent knowledge, identify potential child health and developmental concerns, and connect families to community resources. These services occur in the child’s home and provides the parent educator with information to better serve those involved. These services also allows the family to be in a comfortable and familiar environment. The family personal visit allows the parent educator to partner with the family to individualize the educational guidance to meet their specific needs. The parent educator can observe the child(ren) and the parent-child interactions, provide timely information on child development and activities using items available in the home, and respond to each parent’s concerns.
